Planner

Each school’s individual order is carefully packed and labeled; some of the Hecom staff have been packing university materials for over 14 years! They still love the satisfaction of a job well done.

A career adviser or librarian places a request via the Hecom web site (or by post, fax or phone) and the data is then processed by our IT team. They calculate the most environmentally friendly packaging by size and destination of each pack.

Our computer programme decides what method of delivery is the most suitable for each consignment.

The cover sheets, which double up as packing sheets to use less paper are printed on our Kodak digimaster.

Packing sheets are cross-matched with the selected courier/postage label.

Individual packs for each career adviser are then carefully packed and secured.

We make sure that the parcels all weigh under 28kg to make it easier to handle them when they reach the schools.

Packs are then given to our delivery companies, Royal Mail, DHL, or delivered by our own vehicles.

When it comes to keeping the information up to date we believe that there is no substitute for the personal touch. Many schools have spoken to our team in Bristol.

Our team has been visiting schools around the world and checking on the distribution systems around the world.
