Ranked in the top 100 universities world-wide under the age of 50, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) offers you an exceptional student experience, founded on high quality teaching, ground-breaking research and extensive links with employers, entrepreneurs and business leaders. That’s why we are confident that our degrees are not only intellectually stimulating but will also equip you with the skills and experience required for professional success. All our degrees are of the highest academic standard and are taught by academics actively involved in research or consultancy projects with business and industry. This combination of

academic expertise and ‘real world’ experience helps keep our degrees up-to-date and secure accreditation by key professional bodies. It’s also why 92% of our students are in work or further study six months after they graduate.

Work-related learning is included in all of our degree programmes, giving you the chance to engage in ‘real world’ projects or go on placements and apply your skills in professional settings. Opportunities include paid work placements, internships, projects with work-based contacts, simulations of workplace activity, employer-driven case studies and off-campus work-related learning.

Our Centre for Entrepreneurship also offers dedicated support to students from all disciplines who want to set up their own businesses, work freelance, launch a product or service or grow an existing business. Plus we manage a dedicated vacancy website advertising part-time work, graduate jobs, work placements and much more from over 1,000 organisations, just for our students.

Over the last 10 years the University has invested over £160million in developing award-winning buildings and improving student facilities. From the RIBA-award winning John Lennon Art and Design Building or the £37million Redmonds Building, with its industry-standard film and broadcasting studios to the Tom Reilly Building, with its world-class science labs or the £1.6million Professional Practice Suites, which support clinical skills development in nursing, paramedic practice and midwifery, LJMU works hard to ensure that you have access to all the facilities you need to have an exceptional student experience.

The University has also invested in developing new social spaces, cafes, library facilities and dedicated study areas with lots of PCs so that you have places to go in between lectures to meet friends, have a coffee, complete assignments or independent study.

Three well-equipped and fully accessible libraries also give you access to extensive print and electronic library collections, not to mention the University’s special collections and archives. The Libraries in the Mount Pleasant and City campuses are open 24/7 during semesters, giving you lots of flexibility on when and where you study.

Plus, we offer all new students a place in high quality, affordable student accommodation. Most of this is in within walking distance of the University’s main teaching facilities. For students studying at the IM Marsh campus, we offer accommodation located close to bus routes to and from the campus.
