Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is one of the largest and most popular universities in the UK. Situated in the heart of one of the UK’s best students cities, NTU offers a fantastic student experience combining quality courses and facilities with a student experience that is hard to match.

We’re focused on building successful graduates

With an employment rate of 93%* it’s clear NTU graduates leave well prepared for a successful future.

Our courses have been designed to give you the skills employers are looking for and there is plenty of opportunity for you to develop yourself and increase your employability. Many of our courses offer you the option of taking a placement giving you hands-on experience as part of your degree.

If you’re thinking of starting your own business, we have our very own Centre for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise – The Hive. Since 2001, The Hive has helped more than 300 start-up companies and more than 70% of those businesses are still trading and prospering today. *latest DLHE survey undergraduate results 2012/13.

We’re investing in your future

We've invested £350 million in our staff, facilities and buildings over the last 10 years. It's no coincidence that we attracted 28,000 students worldwide this year (latest HESA data, 2011/12). At the heart of the University is our brand new Students’ Union, which opened in 2013, and is centre of the University’s social life. From great nights out and diverse societies (we have over 70), to support and student representation, the Union is run by students, for students. We think our new Students’ Union building on our City site promises is one of the best in the country.

In 2012, over at Clifton Campus TV presenter Professor Robert Winston opened our multi-million pound superlab, the Rosalind Franklin building. It's a multi-use super lab where you can work with up to 200 students sharing ideas and discoveries.

Nottingham

Nottingham is a great place to live and study. Around 60,000 students study here and the city has a real student vibe and everything you need for student life. We’re committed to looking after our environment and we currently in the top five of the People and Planet Green League making us one of the UK’s greenest universities.

Sport and fitness

If you enjoy your sport and fitness, then NTU is the place to be. Use our gyms between lectures, or go along to one of our classes for a high-energy work out. There are over 50 sports clubs for you to get involved in. We have plenty of opportunities for beginners and the more experienced to enjoy playing sport and competing against other universities. Our sports teams and individuals compete at the highest levels. We are ranked in the top 20 universities in the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) league.
